Type the serial number code from the replacement battery followed by and confirm. Battery adaptation - Serial number (this may be something like IDE03256-IDE00010 Battery adaptation - Serial number). Use the drop-down menus to enter the Part Number, Vendor, and Serial Number information located on the new battery. Installation of a new battery requires the use of the function under 19-CAN-Gateway control module. In these cases, the new battery information is entered in 61-Battery Regulation then Adaptation Channel 004.
Some vehicles like Audi R8 along with some rest-of-world models with Stop-Start, can have a 61 that is really a virtual module in the 19-CAN Gateway. Your new Battery should now be coded and the Battery Control Module should be aware of the new Battery. Enter the new Battery Serial Number (10 digits). Enter the new Battery Part Number (10 or 11 digits). Use the pull down menu to select the battery (slave) listed as #1.
